This is the Duderstadt Center on the University of Michigan campus. I've always liked this building, so I decided to take some pictures of it.
This originally started out as one of my Mini Planets, but the planet didn't look all that great, since the sun was behind this building. I still wish the sun was shining on the front, since there's a lot of shadows, but this gives the sky some interesting life.
So this image is about 54 images, all stitched into a panorama. Then I bent it so the building has a more powerful feel. That's why the horizon is curved downward.
Then I also copied parts of the right, front most pillars, and pasted them on the left side, since I wasn't quite in the center and the position was a tad off. But nothing too major other than that.
impressive work, i wanted to check what kind of fisheye lens you used here but it appears that's a radically different method that have been used. the perspective and composition gives a simple building a whole different impact. preserving geometric straight lines from the building which gives it all a pretty surreal atmosphere; like an architectural behemoth rushing right on you. this also reminds you how a good photography can be realized with things you see everyday and don't really pay attention to; then it's about finding an original way to capture it and work with it to adapt it. hell, even find extra dimensions, in a way.
only crit i'd give would be to give a little bit if extra space up and down maybe to give even more impact to the perspective.
