Mini Planet - U of M Law Tower by electricjonny Mini Planet - U of M Law Tower by electricjonny
This is another Mini Planet I made on Sunday. I went downtown (in Ann Arbor) and looked around for a while to find a good spot, and this looked promising, although I sort of wish the center wasn't so plain, and there was other buildings around.

Anyway, I sort of like how the main building looks, so I thought I'd upload it :)

This is one of the law buildings at the University of Michigan in downtown Ann Arbor Michigan.

This Mini Planet was made with 90 images. Sort of a small number compared to most of my Mini Planets, but I left a lot out of the bottom since it was all grass anyway.

You can also see a plain shot of this building right here.

Any thoughts or opinions are more than welcome :)

For anyone wanting to know how to do this, you can see a tutorial here.

This is one of my favorites of the Mini-Planets. Very innovative :) You should try a big city sometime, one with big skyscrapers - New York City maybe. : )

Thanks :)

I'd like to try a big city, but I would have to travel to do that. Maybe some day though :)

Do you have any DA friends who live in or near big cities? Maybe you could refer the Mini-Planet tutorial to them and have them try it out.

Haha, I don't know of anyone specific near a big city. But I just put up a tutorial on how to do these, so you never know

I think this is better than your last one it really pops out and it has a really nice sphere effect. The bottom left tree throws it off of balance and is really well done. The middle might be plain but you don't want to overwhelm the work. Great piece looking forward to your next one.

Well, it's just hard to find a good spot, since everything around it needs to look good, and it helps if there's some good vertical stuff nearby. So it's just a matter of finding a spot that has all that :)

Haha, I don't think I could do that. It would be impossible to match it all up.

Thanks :aww:

I'm going to do more of these, it's just hard to find good spots to do them, since the whole area needs to look good :slow:
