We all know that the gallery forums are impossible for people to find, or at least someone new to the forums. So I thought about how to fix that problem, and this is what I came up with.
You would click one of the main categories, then that would open up the forums under that category. Your browser will even remember which ones you open and close so when you go back to the forums, they pop open just like the last time you left them.
They can even be dragable, so you don't have to stay with the order if you don't like it. I combined hardware and software, since there's only one forum for each and those two sort of go together.
Any comments would be appreciated

I changed the different forum topics to be smaller, and have a second box for the description. Other minor changes just to make it look better.
I also added the arrows found at the bottom of V6 for each forum.

I wish they would change the word dAmn too, make it Forums and Chats or something.  -- <insert signature here> Actually, I think this idea is quite a sound one.
Personally, I've never been a fan of aggregating all the forums into one page, because, obviously that's a lot of forums (between 73 to 77 forums total depending on subscribed/beta tester status, including the gallery forums, of course). However, I do like the ability to hide/show the groups of forums that currently exist. My suggestions, if something like this were implemented would be, first, that the sections shouldn't have titles larger that the 'Forum' title (it kind of breaks the flow of the page for the font to be that much larger), and second, that the section titles are more integrated into the block of forums they reveal (or, at the very least, removing the section title inside the section when it's already displayed on the clickable section areas). -- Need a Thread Locked? sineout.com Ah good points
I should have made the titles smaller, I just made the rounded boxes the same height as the categories for each thread on the forum page and didn't think to make it smaller  And yeah, there should be some more blocking to the forum descriptions. I'm not a very good layout person, this is more for the idea; the real coders can decide how it should look.And yeah, they can't put all the forums on one page, or there'd be way to many. Grouping them is the way to go I think. The categories button is a nice bit of coding, but the problem is no one knows to click there (or that the gallery forums even exists). Got it changed now, how does it look?
