So my Canon Powershot S2 IS died a while ago. The motor that pushes out the lens decided to get jammed, and while fixing it, I accidentally pulled it out of the camera, ripping the ribbon cable. It was too small to solder back on, but I would of if it wasn't so tiny. So that camera died. I loved that camera.
But I got a new one today, a Canon Powershot SX100 IS. I haven't played with it too much, but I just had to do a macro of my old CCD from the old camera. It doesn't get as close as my old one does, but it's not bad.
Hello Just letting you know this has been featured in MY JOURNAL. If you havent already taken part in it, you may want to try for the powershot macro contest mentioned in the journal
Hmm, I'm not sure. But I never abused it (much) so I really don't know why the motor failed. It might just be one of those failures that happens a lot with that camera
