Workspace by electricjonny Workspace by electricjonny
It's been over 5 years since I posted the last version of my workspace, so I thought I'd post an updated version.  You can see the older one here: My Geeky Workspace by electricjonny

I'm still using the same computer for my main computer, although now I have an extra desktop computer (on the floor on the right.  I don't use it much, but it's always handy to have a spare) and I found a Dell Inspiron while out biking last year.  That one is on the right all in silver.  The biggest change, for me anyway, is I now have a new AV reciever.  It's an Onkyo HT-R990.  One of those "home theater in a box" sets, but it's pretty nice, for the price at least.  So it's a 7.1 system with the side and rear spearkers towards the back of the image (you can see one side speaker at the right next to my clock).

I also have a new keybaord and network switch (yes, that's a 5 port switch plugged into an 8 port gigabit switch, and all but one is full :B).  Also no, I did not buy those Beats headphones.  I found them on my bike a while back.  Rather amazing what one finds while out biking during the night.

I also have a new LaCie network hard drive, which is freaking handy, let me tell you.  Then a Raspberry Pi (with a USB hub behind it) and a Roku 3 that I got for my birthday.  I really dig that little thing.  Those are all to the right of my second main monitor.

All in all, not a whole lot of change, but then again my room is always morphing =P  Feel free to ask any questions.  And for those interested, you can see a bigger version here (34 megs and 7701x5680 pixels).

Some Photoshop in order to put the panoramic together (12 images) and adjust the RAW images (they were rather green and crappy), and then fix up the alignment of the pan stitch.  Then some tone and color adjustments and finally some other exposures of the screens since they were blown out, and then a slight vignette on top of it all.

My current workspace looks positively spartan by comparison. :phew: That's a lot of kit!

Nice battlestation! Mine is nothing compared to yours. I have a simple desk, full tower on  the bottom right, 22" LED on a DIY shelf. and that's it :P
Why don't you upgrade to Win8.1 ? It seems that you still have Win Vista.. It's aweful D:

Thanks =P  This is like 15 years of collecting and modifying.

I'd upgrade to Windows 8, but I don't have a touch screen computer, and I hear Windows 8 is rather pointless if you don't have touch.   Windows 7 (not Vista) works just fine for me right now.

Hahaha, well it's not like things are just sitting around... well sometimes they are, but I go out each night collecting bottles, and with that much biking, you just find stuff.  I wrote about it here electricjonny.deviantart.com/j… I think one big part of it is that I live in a rich college town, and those spoiled idiots just throw crap out and buy again rather than move it.
