Saturday, November 14th, is World Diabetes Day, and this is the image I did for it
I didn't spend nearly as long as I wanted to on this, but I sort of did it at the last minute.
This is 8 macro shots of an insulin vial and a syringe at different focal points. Then I took the images and stacked them so that the whole image was in focus. I did some color and tone adjustments, and added the logo.
This is sort of gritty and grungy on purpose, since I wanted it to stand out and not be as clean and sparkly as this might have been. Diabetes is not a fun thing to have, and I wanted to show that here.
It's a cheap point and shoot camera, so F8 is the smallest it goes. But even with a small aperture, being this close to the target means that the depth of field is really shallow.
